Phil Dufix ‎ – Heroes

Phil Dufix produced a handful of heavy disco tracks in the late 70’s and early 80’s all now becoming rather sought after by those in the know. In 1977 he released an LP called ‘Texico’ with the club friendly ‘Texico Special’ a 10 minute plus spacy disco funk odyssey that recently received an edit by Jacques Renault. The same track is also on the Heroes LP with slightly different instrumentation and and a vocal version (Tex Dance & Hot USA). But the highlight of this record has to be ‘Sultanis Party’. A bass heavy hypnotic sitar space killer with dreamy femme vox and super tight drums.
